Last week Friday I sprained my ankle and when I did it pained for a while later after some hours the pain was unbearable.

I was limping and in pain. I tried the R.I.C.E method but still the pain continued, and the first thing I did was trying to relieve the pain forgetting what caused.

And I cried looking at how I had some much to do and there I laid sprained the in pain. That made me realize how I overlooked the importance of my feet. The days I would walk, turn and lift them painless in my day to day activities.

And I remembered to be grateful, I wiped my tears and asked myself how is crying going to help? Maybe with the pain expression but what next will the sprain go away if I cry?

Nothing, so I decided to stop and see how I would help myself. And when I did something magical happened like till now I’m forever grateful.

I kept my foot elevated it was quite painful but I did, I stretched and bent it bit by bit. And did a cod compress.

The pain was still there, but I wasn’t crying and regreting I was healing. I gently massaged myself screaming in pain but I still went to.

I forced myself to take small walks and later that same day the pain was if i’d scale it 8 on a scale on 1–8.

The next day the pain was gone.

I was speechless.

From this I learned to to always be grateful for every small thing that makes my day to be whole.
