Me, love books, yes you are right.
I love reading, I read casually, I read every day, I read on a bus, I read before bedtime, and I read when I'm sad, curious, excited, anxious or bored.
I read different books.
I read self-help books, personal finance books, business books, sci-fiction books…
Part of the many toxic traits I have is combining things so when I read books.....
I read self-help book combined with a personal finance book and a business book😂😂. Strange right?
Now the thing is I get to marry the different perceptions at their point of similarity.
My favorite books so far are
Who moved my chase?
I have my chased moved most of the time and I won't lie I'm not always Haw I'm Hew sometimes but I always get back to Haw.
2 Atomic habit
Writing on Linkedin is a habit I cultivated because of reading atomic habits. It's a practical book but it gave me a trigger when the author had his nose hit with a baseball I loved how he rose to building habits that have helped a lot of people like me. Strongly why you and I need to invest in our habits.
3. Becoming By Michelle Obama.
The keeping journals, the fighting for self-discovery, the enthusiasm for personal development all made me feel like Michelle. And got me teary when she list her dad and piano teacher. The adapting, the becoming as well the emotions that came with it. You and I are constantly becoming the only thing that will be different is whether we become negative or positive and both are possible and dependent on the choice you and I make. Let's constantly choose the positive part despite by pulled or falling into the negative.
4. Rich Dad Poor Dad
This book has a sharpend and opened my mind like wow😩. A house is not, an asset, and my cash flow determines whether I become rich or not and wealth too. At 9 Robert was learning about how to make money work for him, manage and keep it while at that age I craved jiggies. It was an eye-opener for the people behind me and a practical book. Acquire assets and get them to buy luxuries, your asset column should be more than your liability. And rich dad's mindset was something out of this world. I loved Robert had an independent mindset he chose to have a mindset of his own at a tender age.
And the thing about reading, is whatever you read when there's a need for it to flow in your writing and speaking it will flow. Endless of ideas, creativity, critical thinking and knowledge about a wide range of things.
As this week as started, why not try out reading a book for 2min or even an hour lol. Will you try out reading or audiobook?
